California's Proposition 65
Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986
In order to prevent the exposure of the human body to known toxic chemicals, the act states:
1. Drinking water sources are to be protected from being contaminated with chemicals known to be toxic (environmental protection).
2. Because of the proposition to prevent the exposure of the human body to known toxic chemicals becoming law in California, USA in November 1986, businesses are prohibited from knowingly exposing individuals to listed substances without first providing a clear and reasonable warning.
* Regarding SMC products
1. SMC products are only supplied for incorporation into industrial automation equipment and are not intended for consumers.
Therefore, our products are out of scope of California's Proposition 65.
2. SMC products shall not be used to supply drinking water.
3. SMC products do not emit any significant amount of substances when used as specified, so users are not subject to any occupational exposure.
