How to use of the file search INDEX (EXCEL file)

A file search INDEX exists to utilize SMC CAD System more effectively. This is used to search CAD files of fittings, speed controllers, etc. that have a wide variety of models, and the files containing the required information can be identified (which product part number is contained in which file).

Download and decompress the EXCEL file. The CAD system files consist of the product classification, the series name, the filename, the outline (What information the file includes), and the child drawing number such as #1, #2, #3 ---.

Since the child drawing number includes the product part number etc., you can narrow the search to the series name and the filename by functions of EXCEL (Edit®Search ®Input the product part number).

(Example) To search files including the product part number of KQ2D06-01S, search the product part number from the EXCEL file. You can find out the files including your required product part number.

 

2, How to use (Search from the product part number)      << Return INDEX download

Perform the following EXCEL commands, ”Edit” ® “Search”.

Then, input the product part number or the related terms (part name etc.), and perform a search. Enter the product part number in the “search string” (The following example shows the one-touch fitting: KQ2D06-01S).

 

Supplement: * (asterisk) is used to search all alphabets and numeric characters.

For example, when KQD06-*2 is entered, KQ2D06-01S, -02S, -03S can be searched and displayed.

 

When the product part number to be searched is ”KQ2D06-M5”, the following are displayed.

1)     TYPE ® Series name (Alperbetical Order)

2)     Series name ® KQ2D

3)     Filename ® KQ2D04-12

4)     View number ® #5

Then the product information is included in the retrieved file.

 

3, DXF file download                            << Return INDEX download

Back to the CAD System on SMC website, select, and download the following DXF or M/C file for use.

5)     TYPE ® List of series name (alphabetical order)

6)     Series Name ® KQ2D

7)     File name ® KQ2D04-12 (It is in the child drawing number of #5.)

Notes: The compressed EXCEL file (zip format) is approximately 1MB when downloaded.

      After unzipping, it increases to approximately 4.5MB.
